“Apple iPhone 16 Pro Pricing and Features: Major Update for Indian Buyers”

Apple Launches iPhone 16 Pro Series with Larger Screens and Lower Prices in India

In a surprising move, Apple has reduced the prices of its iPhone 16 Pro models in India, while keeping international prices unchanged. At its recent “Glowtime” event, Apple unveiled the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, both featuring larger displays, enhanced camera systems, and advanced AI capabilities.

iPhone 16 Pro Pricing in India

The iPhone 16 Pro (128GB) is now available for ₹1,19,900 in India, and the iPhone 16 Pro Max (256GB) is priced at ₹1,44,900. This represents a significant drop from the previous iPhone 15 Pro models, which were launched at ₹1,34,990 and ₹1,56,990, respectively. This price adjustment is unique to the Indian market, with global prices remaining the same.

Conversely, the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus retain their previous pricing. The base iPhone 16 (128GB) starts at ₹79,990, and the iPhone 16 Plus is priced at ₹89,990.

iPhone 16 Pro Features

A major highlight of the iPhone 16 Pro series is its expanded display size. The iPhone 16 Pro features a 6.3-inch screen, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max boasts a 6.9-inch display. Both models offer a more immersive viewing experience with their thinner bezels, which increase screen area without enlarging the overall device.

Both iPhone 16 Pro models now come equipped with a 5x telephoto lens, previously available only on the iPhone 15 Pro Max. The primary camera includes a 48MP fusion sensor with advanced quad-pixel technology for capturing high-resolution 48MP ProRAW images. Additionally, a 48MP ultra-wide camera has been added to improve macro photography.

Later this year, Apple will introduce a new camera button that provides enhanced control through a capacitive touch interface.

Under the hood, the iPhone 16 Pro series features the A18 Bionic Pro chip, utilizing 3nm technology for better performance and energy efficiency. The chip includes a 16-core neural engine for AI tasks and a 6-core GPU for superior graphics capabilities.

Apple is also rolling out new AI-driven “Apple Intelligence” features, offering smarter Siri interactions and deeper integration with tools like ChatGPT. These enhancements will streamline tasks such as messaging and email, with some features expected to debut in the iOS 18 beta later this year.

Focus on the Indian Market

By reducing the price of the iPhone 16 Pro models in India, Apple aims to make its premium devices more accessible in a key market. This strategic adjustment is anticipated to attract a wider customer base in the region and bolster Apple’s presence in India.

Pre-orders for the iPhone 16 Pro series are now open, with official sales scheduled to start later this month.
