Fatman Scoop, the iconic rapper and hype man, has passed away at the age of 53 after collapsing during a performance in Hamden, Connecticut. Known to his family as Isaac Freeman III, he was performing at the Green and Gold Party summer concert when he suddenly became ill. Despite the best efforts of the crowd and paramedics, he was taken to the hospital and sadly did not survive.
His family announced the devastating news on Instagram, expressing their sorrow and calling him a “radiant soul” both on stage and in life. Hamden Mayor Lauren Garrett also offered her condolences, emphasizing his impact on the local community and how much he will be missed.
